1 c. shortening
1 t. salt
1 t. vanilla
1/2 t. baking soda
2 c. sugar
1 egg well beaten
5 or 6 cups flour
1 c. sour cream
Bake in moderate oven 375 degrees 12-15 minutes
Use 5 c. flour for drop cookies and 6 for rolled.
For chocolate drop cookies, use cocoa, nuts, chocolate drop.
